This was the best week I've ever spent. Sister Lucy was so holy and she rubbed some of her holiness on all of us. The boys were very well behaved, and we had a highly productive week. Looking forward to going again this summer.

This is for the priests of the church(I will not call you "Father" because we have one earthly father and one spiritual father, God). This is the time to teach your congregation about seeking salvation through the Lord, Jesus Christ-that good works is NOT what gets them into heaven, like they think. Also, I think Mary would turn over in her grave if she knew Catholics revelled her like they do(and I can say that, since I was Catholic for almost 37 years!). She would want the attention on her son, Jesus-and not on her. The Bible says that we are to pray directly to the Lord, not to Mary. Also, it says that we are to confess our sin to Christ directly, not to a priest(read New Testament!)

My dear friend in Christ,
Jesus was a teacher, rabbi, Abba. So, if we call our priests "Father', it does not in any way diminish either our Earthly father, whom we must respect, nor God our Father, to whom we must devote our life's work, and live by his Word. Our dear Mother, Mary, does not "compete" with her Son for attention, nor is she offended by the focus and devotion to her, as she may intercede on our behalf with her Son, for their shared values of Peace, Love, and Christian Service, to name a few. Thank you for your words regarding the New Testament and the offering of prayer and confession directly to the Lord. As Catholics, we offer prayer and confession directly to Christ each week in Mass, and perhaps daily, in our own prayer, I know I do. When I seek a priests counsel, it is to recieve the gift of Reconciliation, that is, to speak my sins to another human being whom I can trust, to "own" my sins to another, and to reconcile myself to the past, and embrace the future in Christ. Certainly I can do this directly to the Lord, but why would I miss the opportunity to do so in the loving presence of another, anointed and promised to serve me in His name. I have, in my lifetime, been transformed during just such an encounter with a priest. I wish the same for you, my friend, I welcome you back.

Hello everyone. As you know we are actively fundraising for the Mission Trip to Jamaica. Until March 23rd you can order from Pampered Chef and our group could earn up to $300 towards the trip. Another way you could think of helping us would be in addition to your prayers for the success of the mission we will be having a Giving Tree with items that the Mustard Seed Community has asked us to bring. Ever Abiding One,
They need you in their lives right now more than ever. Each day brings its own set of challenges for their vulnerable spirit and body. Help them to live with the conditions of their illnesses without giving in to discouragement or despair. Do not let the questions and the unknown drown out the voice of your tender presence. Guide the physicians to make good decisions. Give them courage and wisdom to make good choices in treating their illness. Teach them to embrace the gift of each new day and to give thanks for those who help them through the ups and downs of this process. Constantly assure them that you will not forsake them. You will be by their side, my Trusted Guardian. Help them to walk the delicate balance of hope and surrender. Amen.

Actually, I have been to the prayer page, I posted a prayer. But, I had not watched the clip. It is WONDERFUL. I enjoyed it so much. I plan to explore more of the links...

Understanding One,
He/She (I) is raw with inner struggles and pain. You know what he is going through. You understand his agony and distress. The storms that overtake him are endless. Ease his wrestling mind and hurting heart. Cast out his fears and needless worries. Chase away all that feeds his turmoil. Help him to believe in the best of himself and to find good in those around him. Guide him to make the changes he can and to accept what is unchangeable. Do not let him be overpowered with negative thoughts and emotions. Relax the tensions that press against him. Be his calming peace and his serenity. Amen

Hey Pam,
Nice seeing you in church. Thanks for putting these attachments up, it is nice to know where to find the prayer card for print out now. I did enjoy the interpreation about the magi and also the info on annulment, which was something i was not familiar with before.
