About our Council
Bishop Wm. Hickey Council was chartered in 1953 through the efforts of men from three parishes (Holy Angels, St. Luke's, and St. Brendan's) in the towns of Barrington and East Providence, RI. The Council is named after the Most Reverend Bishop Wm. A Hickey, the third Bishop of the of the Diocese of Providence. He was Bishop of the Diocese of Providence for 12 years. Bishop Wm. Hickey Council works closely with the Community and the three parishes in the two towns, providing funds for various parish projects. Our Council members are also active in their own parish activities.

Join Us For a Pasta Dinner!
Friday, May 1st at St. Luke’s School Gym, 5 to 8PM
Proceeds to support the St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank.
Pasta, salad, meatballs, bread and butter, Coffee and dessert.
Beer and wine available (cash bar).
Adults $8.00, kids under 12, $6.00.
Takeout available!
Call the council at 401-433-0930 for tickets, tickets will be sold after the Masses at St. Luke’s and at the door.
Help us ‘stock the shelves’ for the food bank.
Clam Bake: Our second annual clam bake will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 1PM at the pavilion next to the Hugh Cole School, 59 Asylum Rd, Warren.
Tickets cost $23.00 and will be available at Bishop Hickey and other councils that want to participate.
NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
Bring your ticket with you when you come.
